Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Tuesday said that the Indian occupied Kashmiri leadership from both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) would be given role once the dialogue on issue of Jammu Kashmir between India and Pakistan reaches a decisive stage.
Talking to newsmen after holding meeting with the leadership of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) here, the minister said, it is the aspiration of everyone in this region that the dialogue process between both the countries reaches some acceptable solution.
"That solution which also is acceptable to the people of Indian occupied Kashmir, who have rendered countless sacrifices for their just cause," he added.
He said the APHC leadership's point of view on the success of the dialogue is not different from the people of the region.
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said the people of both the countries (India & Pakistan) wish that all outstanding issues including the issue of Jammu Kashmir are resolved peacefully for the collective progress of the region.
"The two countries may live peacefully for collective well-being of the people."
Referring to atrocities being unleashed on the people of Jammu Kashmir, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said, not only the people of Pakistan but also the rest of the world has serious concerns about this situation.
He said that India had been gravely violating the international laws by erecting a fence along the LoC.
The meeting was arranged by the APHC leadership and was attended by APHC convener Mohammad Farooq Rehmani. Besides other leaders including, Sheikh Walid Rasool, Ishtiaq Ahmed, Abduliah Malik, Abdul Maiid Malik, Adeel Mushtaq, Shaukat Hussain, Muzaffar Shah and Khadim Hussain were also present in the meeting.
