ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has condemned a terrorist attack in Jordan near Syrian border in which at least six Jordanian security personnel lost their lives while 14 other were wounded.
"We have learned with deep sorrow and grief about the terrorist attack in Jordan near its border with Syria in which at least six Jordanian Security personnel lost their lives, while 14 other were wounded," said a press release of the Foreign Office on Wednesday.
It said Pakistan condemned this terrorist act in the strongest terms and reiterates its condemnation of terrorism in all forms and manifestations.
"Pakistan stands in strong solidarity with the brotherly people of Jordan and believes that the Government and Armed Forces of Jordan will firmly deal with the threats to its security and the perpetrators of this cowardly attack," it added.
It said the Government and people of Pakistan extend their heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families and to the brotherly people and government of Jordan.
It also wished the speediest recovery for the injured.
