One of the most sketchy trading was witnessed on the seed and grain wholesale markets during the week ended on June 19, 2004.
Commodities traded and underwent changes were sugar, wheat, guwar, yellow peas and dal peas, gram and gram dal beetle 50x50, bajra, makai, plastic mouldings, kirana items and cotton and rapeseed cakes.
On the side of milk powder skimmed Germany down Rs 50 to Rs 3950, Haleeb SMP down Rs 90 to Rs 3600, Skim Pak down Rs 50 to Rs 4050, Dairy Crest down Rs 100 to Rs 4100, Halla SMP down Rs 50 to Rs 3700.
FULL CREAM INSTANT: CDL quoted down at Rs 3725, Bright Star up Rs 100 to Rs 3725, Vegetable Corolac up Rs 400 to Rs 4600, Green Flag down Rs 50 to Rs 3650, Kerry Gold down Rs 50 to Rs 3700, 5-Star quoted at Rs 4275, Green Valley down Rs 200 to Rs 3400, kirana items big cardamom up Rs 100 to Rs 9600, aniseed up Rs 100 to Rs 4700.
Cotton cakes inferior twice underwent changes and last it was seen at Rs 520 and better was presumably put at Rs 530, Makai inferior lost Rs 25 to Rs 825 and better seen at Rs 875, wheat was quoted at Rs 1090 and Rs 1100, yellow peas fluctuate but last was seem inferior at Rs 1510 and better at Rs 1545, dal yellow peas inferior up Rs 10 to Rs 1750, better up Rs 20 to Rs 1785, beetle 50x50 quoted at Rs 1880 and Rs 1890, gram new earlier gained Rs 65 but later lost Rs 50 to Rs 1690, and better had gained Rs 35 later gave in Rs 40 to Rs 1740, gram dal was last quoted at Rs 1950 and Rs 1990, bajra inferior lost Rs 25 to Rs 1200 and better shed Rs 25 to Rs 1375, sugar fluctuated and last change in inferior was marked Rs 10 down to Rs 1775 and better type down same amount to Rs 1820, juwar was quoted at Rs 850 and better at Rs 860, guwar inferior lost Rs 10 to Rs 1190 and better lost Rs 60 but later gained Rs 10 to Rs quoted at Rs 1210, and rapeseed cakes lost Rs 8 to Rs 260 and better shed Rs 5 to Rs 265.
Friday's: Cotton cakes quoted at Rs 528, castorseed Lasbela and Sindh up Rs 50 to Rs 575, and better at Rs 600.
Wheat was quoted at Rs 1100, sallow peas gained Rs 180 to Rs 1690, and Rs 1740.
Saturday Chemical: Petroleum jelly white Iran up Re 1 to Rs 52, sulphonic acid soft down Re 1 to Rs 61, sulphonic acid HARD quoted at Rs 71, PVA Japan down Re 1 to Rs 160, Rangolite C China up Re 1 to Rs 27, same stuff from Germany down Rs 2 to Rs 117.
India's down Re 1 to Rs 61, hydrosulphite China 88pc up Re 1 to Rs 46, Germany's down Re 1 to Rs 64, India down Rs 2 to Rs 64, acetic acid Taiwan down Re 1 to Rs 46 and Korea down Re 1 to Rs 67.50.
