We have seen the news in the Business Recorder that the State Bank of Pakistan has decided that in the Credit Information Bureau (CIB) report, grouping of borrowers shall now be done on the basis of revised criterion.
There are more than 100 cases in which Habib Bank Ltd placed the names of poor borrowers unnecessarily in the CIB list and there is no justification to add mark up on mark up and threatening the borrowers by reverting their accounts.
It is not a justice and the police and banks are not providing supportive documents therefore now various companies are suffering default due to the fault of Habib Bank Ltd.
SBP's instructions are not followed by Habib Bank Ltd, Karachi, and all such cases of mark up on mark up in Karachi are unsolved.
