Formal talks between the Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) were held on Wednesday in Khokharapar near Pakistan-India border.
According to a news release issued by the Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), the Pakistani delegation was led by deputy director-general, Pak Rangers, Brig. Muhammad Masood while the Indian delegation was headed by deputy director-general of BSF Rajivdasut.
The meeting discussed various issues including drug trafficking preventive measures, patrolling on borderline, improvement in mutual understanding and complete observation of international laws regarding boarder security.
Negotiations between the two border security forces are being held every regularly three months.
Giving comments after the meeting, Brig. Masood said that due to the meetings, border relations are improving and he hoped that it will improve further in future.
Rajivdasut said that "we are trying to resolve problems through dialogue and today's meeting was also held in this connection".
