Chief Executive Somansi Adventure Park, Lower Topa, Murree Sohail Lashari revealed that Recreation Private Limited, which was a sister Sozo Water Park, had opened Sozo Adventure Park at Lower Topa, Murree with a cost of Rs 30 million on BoT basis.
He mentioned that Sozo Adventure Park was based upon the jungle theme. As many as 2.0 to 2.5 million visitors came to Murree. The construction as well as test trial was completed during May this year, while project was operational since June 1.
Sohail described that the park had hang glider, Kodak master blaster slide, wave swinger, ferris wheel, horror house (imported), mechanical swing, racing cars, pony carts, and Treet antique cars. Besides, the park had also car-parking facilities for 200 cars, washrooms, food courts, tuck shops, instant photo printing shop, and vast picnic areas.
To a question, he said that an encouraging response was being received, as about 800-900 visitors were daily enjoying recreational facility.
Though the government had exempted the project from excise duty and equipment import was also duty free, yet various measures were required to give much-needed boost to tourism industry.
