Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Thursday termed as "unfortunate" the decision of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) not to participate in National Security Council (NSC) meeting.
Talking to journalists after chairing the Pakistan Muslim League (PML) and allied parties meeting here at Parliament House, Jamali said, however, their absence would not effect the proceedings of the NSC meeting.
Earlier, addressing the treasury MNAs, the Prime Minister said their first priority should be to discuss and pass the budget.
The meeting discussed the progress made so far for passage of budget for 2004-05.
The Prime Minister urged the MNAs that they should come out well prepared in the Parliament so that they could respond to the budget speeches of the opposition.
The Prime Minister said: "The credit goes to your government for presenting a poor-friendly budget."
