Chief Minister Sindh, Arbab Ghulam Rahim on Tuesday said that his government would take every possible step to maintain law and order in the province.
Talking to newsmen in the Parliament House here, he said "Our top priority is to improve law and order in the province."
The federal government has offered to provide scanning machines which would be installed at important roads, he said and added, law enforcement agencies would also be equipped and strengthened.
The Chief Minister said the water issue needs attention adding, this would be resolved with local management.
Responding to a question about ban on Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman and Qazi Hussain Ahmed from entering into Sindh province, he said they could give the message through television or some other mediums.
The Arbab Rahim informed that investigation into the attack on corps commander's motorcade in Karachi is progressing.
He said the portfolio of the ministers of the Sindh provincial cabinet would be announced soon.
Replying a question regarding election of Prime Minister-in-waiting Shaukat Aziz from Tharparkar, he said it would be better for the country that Prime Minister and Chief Minister Sindh are elected from one district.
He, however, pointed out that in the past, late Muhammad Khan Junejo and Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi were elected from NWFP and Punjab respectively.
About transfer of various government officials, he said their transfer is a routine matter. Responding to a question regarding performance of police, he said he would give credit to police personnel if they perform well.
