Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Friday said the government will make every effort to solve the problems faced by the traders' community.
He was talking to a delegation of traders from Gujrat led by President Anjman-e-Tajran Ilyas Malhi, which called on him at the Prime Minister's House here.
Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said he considers the office of Prime Minister as a sacred trust entrusted by Almighty Allah through the people of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister said he would discharge his responsibilities in the best interests of the people of Pakistan. The government would strive to solve the problems of all sections of society, he added.
Chaudhry Shujaat advised the business community to speed up investment in the country to boost economic activity which in turn would provide more business opportunities.
He said the government has made policies that have reduced the cost of doing business, which is facilitating the entrepreneurs. Through such efforts the country has achieved economic sovereignty and is now on high growth trajectory, he added.
The businessmen congratulated the Prime Minister on assumption of office and assured their full support for making the country a welfare state where every citizen will be provided basic social services such as health and education.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yousuf on Friday briefed Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain about the law and order situation in the province.
He was called on the Prime Minster at the PM house.
The Prime Minister directed that peace and security for the people must be ensured at all costs. "Protection of life and property of the people is my government's top priority," he added.
Chaudhry Shujaat also asked the Chief Minister to provide basic amenities to the people on priority.
He said the government was giving special attention to the development of under-developed areas and the centre would provide all possible help to the provinces.
