The Indian High Commission has said that henceforth it will display the list of approved visas at the offices of the two courier services, the TCS and the Gerry's International, and passport owners can authorise these companies to collect their passports on their behalf for delivery.
An announcement accompanying a three-page long list issued here late on Friday night said that in such cases the applicant will have to append the original receipts issued by the High Commission and accept to pay their charges.
The courier companies, it said, charge Rs 250 per passport for this service.
Meanwhile, it said that 2,000 passports with Indian visas stamped on them are awaiting collection from the High Commission and the owners after verifying receipt number should arrange their collection.
