Dust raising winds may hit Punjab

Dust raising winds may hit central and southern Punjab during next 24 hours providing some relief from muggy and suffocating weather.
According to local Met office, seasonal low lies over Balochistan while moist current from Arabian Sea is also reaching Punjab.
This weather pattern is expected to cause rains over northern and north-eastern Punjab, isolated light rain over central NWFP and Punjab, northern Balochistan along with southern Kalat division.
Catchment areas of all major rivers except Indus are also likely to receive rain during next 24 hours.
According to weather pundits, a monsoon low has crossed inland from the Bay of Bengal and lies over Indian state of Orissa. However, as it is quite far away from Pakistan it cannot be predicted at the moment whether it reaches Pakistan or not.
Meanwhile, reports of rain have been received from different cities including Mianwali 16 mm, Tarbela 13 mm, Garidopatta and Marala 12 mm each, Saidu Sharif 11 mm, Islamabad 5 mm, Murree and Kakul 3 mm each, Sargodha 2 mm, Dagger and Astore 1 mm each.
Reports of rain from catchments of the rivers Chenab and Jhelum along with Kdhat and Sargodha division during lest 24 hours have also been received.
