The government of NWFP will hold an international investment conference in November this year to attract investment in the target sectors of minerals, hydropower and tourism.
In this connection a high level meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary NWFP on Wednesday to work out modalities and arrangements for the event.
Secretary Industries NWFP, Chairman SDA, Director General Board of Investment Islamabad and President Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in the meeting.
Issues like dates and venue, events, manager selection, role of the federal, provincial and private sector were discussed and proposals finalised.
The chief secretary NWFP constituted a committee of the concerned secretaries, including the President SCC&I and the Board of Investment (BoI) which would finalise the preparation of brochures on targeted sectors, highlighting the immense potential, set of policies and facilitation by the provincial government for benefit of the potential investors and participants in the international investment conference, well before the event.
