Punjab Management and Professional Development Minister Sardar Hassan Akhtar Moakal on Wednesday said he had made offer to the Punjab law minister and the Punjab Assembly Speaker a training to the provincial legislators in the field of management skills.
Addressing a press conference here, he said the increased managerial skills and professional development could help run the official business in more effective manner.
Maokal said the Management and Professional Development Department plans to open its multi-focal training modules with the private sector and semi-autonomous organisations.
Talking about the performance of the MPD department, he said it had, so far, trained 3,774 officers in 122 courses up to June 24 last.
Maokal said a six-week training course on 'Revenue Administration' had been made compulsory for the promotion of Naib Tehsildars and Tehsildars. Similarly, he said, it was now mandatory for officers of former Provincial Secretariat Service (PBS) to attend a 10-week training course for their promotion from Grade - 17 to Grade - 18 and from BPS-l8 to 19.
