An accountability court here on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of arguments of defence lawyer on acquittal application of Asif Zardari in BMW corruption reference till July 12.
AC No 3 Judge Mohammad Aslam Khan would hear the arguments of the defence lawyer Senator Farooq Naik, advocate, on the acquittal application of the accused u/s 265-k on next date of hearing. The case was adjourned here on Wednesday as the defence lawyer was on general adjournment.
Zardari has been accused of impersonating himself as student and imported 1993 model armoured luxury vehicle with the intention to evade duties. The national exchequer was deprived of Rs10 million due to this fraudulent deal.
