First Women Bank earns Rs 270 million pre-tax profit

The First Women Bank Limited (FWBL) has earned a pre-tax profit of Rs 270 million in the year ending December 31, 2003.
The President of FWBL, Ms. Zarine Aziz here, stated this on Saturday. She was speaking as chief guest at the certificate awarding ceremony and Ikebana exhibition. The event was held under the auspices of Japan Cultural Centre of the Consulate General of Japan in Karachi at the auditorium of Danishgah.
Ms Zarine Aziz further stated that the FWBL was established in the year 1989, and the bank is being run and managed by the women. She pointed out that the FWBL was contributing towards the economic development of the country.
