KARACHI: Federal Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar, on Friday visited the residence of late Qawwal Amjad Sabri and offered condolences to the bereaved family.
He was accompanied by the Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan. PML-N Senator Nihal Hashmi, was also present on the occasion.
Ishaq Dar condoled with the mother and brother of Amjad Sabri, who was gunned down in Karachi on Wednesday.
Dar assured the family members that the killers would be brought to book and that every possible step is being taken in this regard.
He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also shares the grief of the bereaved family.
Dar also lauded the contributions of late Amjad Sabri in the realms of Qawwali.
He stated that the services of the deceased would long be remembered.
Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan said that the assassination of Amjad Sabri was a great loss especially for the art of Qawwali.
He further stated that the killing of Sabri has saddened every Pakistani.
