Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab has asked the DIG Police for early finalisation of inquiries in the cases pertaining to illegal detention, blasphemy law, torture, honour killing, rape and kidnapping.
This was revealed in a meeting of Provincial Human Rights Monitoring Committee chaired by Regional Director Human Rights, Kishwar Awan.
The representatives of Police and Home Departments apprised the participants about the progress made in human right's violation cases.
The police and home departments were asked to gear up their efforts on priority basis to resolve the cases of human rights violation.
