Textile Expo Dubai 2004-05 would be the largest textile machinery and accessories show of the Middle East.
The event will be held from March 20 to 23 at the Airport Expo Dubai - Dubai World Trade Centre, the country's most recent venue (opened in 1999) and the most modern exhibition centre in the whole Middle East. Just 2 minutes from Dubai's international airport and 15 minutes from the centre of the city.
The complex has two halls with a total area of over 23,000 square metres of exhibition space - all at ground level - and is equipped with full facilities, including international restaurants, bars serving alcohol, cafés, meeting rooms, and hospitality areas.
Since the shows launched 4 months ago, space sales have been brisk with exhibitors coming from over 15 countries to date - all of them keen to welcome buyers from the key textile markets of the region, including Iran, Pakistan, Egypt, Syria, Bangladesh, India, Jordan, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Turkey as well as the Central and African countries.
Both the Turkish Textile Machinery Association (Temsad) and the Korean Textile Machinery Association (Kotma) have announced their official support of the show, and both countries will have sizeable exhibitor pavilions at the Dubai show.
Not only is Dubai a very safe location with excellent access by air to all the leading textile markets in the region (within three hours of most cities), but in a recent survey, it was also classed as one of the least expensive cities in the world (when comparing factors such as hotels, restaurants, local transport, etc).
Dubai came in at number 83 out of a total of 144 (where number 1 was the most expensive). This compares very favourably to other textile exhibition venues such as Moscow (number 3), Seoul (number 7), Milan (number 13), Shanghai (number 16), Istanbul (number 18) and Singapore (number 46).
A wide range of airlines fly direct into Dubai from all over the world, and the choice of hotels is vast with affordable accommodation ranging from Two- to Five-Star hotels and fully serviced apartments. An organisation (Travel Focus/NCC) has just been appointed to assist exhibitors and visitors with their travel and accommodation arrangements (including visas, sight-seeing and entertainment) and fun details appear on the Textile Expo Dubai webslte (www.textile-exDo.com).
About 12,000 trade visitors are expected to attend the show, and visitor marketing is well under way, with chambers of commerce and textile associations in the region already promoting the event to their members. This will be backed up by promotion at other textile events in the area, intense direct marketing as well as road shows and advertising.
The organisers are also delighted to announce the appointment of a partner in Baghdad, Iraq, to market the show to textile associations and companies within that country, many of whom are now starting to consider investments in modern textile machinery and accessories.
One group of Iraqi textile businessmen has already confirmed their participation in the exhibition, and it is expected that there will be a significant number of Iraqi visitors at the show.-PR
