Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) to produce Arshad Bibi and Munazza Bibi before the court on July 27.
The court passed these orders in a petition filed by Haji Muhammad Sharif against former judge of the LHC, Mrs Fakhrun Nisa Khokhar, for releasing three women involved in drug smuggling from Multan Jail.
Earlier, ANF officials produced a woman Naseem Bibi, who was also released by the respondent judge by giving her benefit of section 382 of Cr. P.C.
The petitioner Haji Muhammad Sharif contended that the accused persons were released illegally. He said that action of the respondent was illegal and unconstitutional.
Sharif prayed to the court to direct the respondents to arrest the accused and try them in accordance with the law. He also prayed to the court to take action against the respondent judge.
