Shortage of stamp papers resented

People are facing hardships for the shortage of stamp paper of Rs 10,000 denomination in the local courts.
They have called upon the government to ensure smooth supply of stamp papers of Rs 10,000 denomination, apart from introducing stamp papers of Rs 50,000 and Rs 100,000 denominations, as after surge in property prices, the stamp papers of heavy denominations are required for execution of a sale deed.
A buyer of a property has to use dozens of stamp papers of small denominations to fulfil the legal requirements.
According to PIAF Vice Chairman Mian Abuzar Shad, the incentives, provided by the government to give a boost to the construction industry, are not producing desired results mainly due to shortage of stamp papers.
He urged the authorities concerned to ensure smooth supply of stamp papers of different denomination.
