A daily carried a news with bold headlines, "Six military farms converted into golf courses, army housing societies: Senate told".
The text below also states Faisal Saleh Hayat informed the Senate that two politicians were kept in different jails from 1999 to February 2004, and that PIA paid 196 million to two foreign advertising agencies.
The Minister also told the upper house that 21,741 passports were stolen from the Passport offices without any trace of the culprits.
Could the Reporter not choose any one of these topics for his headlines instead of targeting the military only?
The little guy of a reporter must be feeling very happy over taking on the military. Some reporting and some daily publishing it as such?!
For his information, all the lands of the dairy farms that he is so concerned about, over the passage of time fell inside the thickly populated residential and commercial areas of the cities. Growing of fodder for the cattle, which was the main purpose of these lands, became well nigh impossible there.
These were, therefore, put to better use. Not an inch of these lands was 'usurped' by any military bigwig and all land was legally, properly and transparently taken care of, unlike --- well, I suppose you know who. Incidently, please do give some credit to the military for having planned alternatives to these lands before touching them.
