A meteorologist while talking to private television on Monday said that as the monsoon phenomenon was set to enter Pakistan within a couple of days, there was no eminent threat of heavy floods in the country.
He further said that regular monsoon season would begin in Pakistan after July 15.
Presently he said India's Eastern States and entire Bangladesh were under heavy spell of monsoon, which would reduce its intensity in the next two to three days.
Direction of monsoon winds would then be shifted towards Pakistan, as some areas of the country would receive heavy rains in the next two days while most parts of the country would come under this spell in next three days, he added.
He said for the time there was no visible threat of heavy floods in the country, however some seasonal streams and 'nullahs' might get over-flooded in upper parts of Punjab including Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad and Sargodha.
