Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) took oath as the acting NWFP governor of at the Governor's House here on Wednesday. PHC Senior Judge Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk administered the oath.
Later on, the acting NWFP Governor Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan administered the oath of the office of the acting chief justice of the Peshawar High Court to Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk.
Besides, NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani, this simple, but impressive ceremony, was also attended by some of the provincial ministers; provincial Chief Secretary Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Rifaat Pasha, judges of the Peshawar High Court, and other senior officers of the provincial government.
