Sindhi Adabi Sangat Secretary Taj Joyo has said the languages are the messengers of peace. Languages never give birth to hatred, it were the exploitative people who created hatred to serve their interests.
He was speaking at the launching of "Intezar-e-Bahar" (waiting for spring), the first poetry collection of rising Urdu poet Taqi Rajput at Sindh Education Trust on Monday.
The programme was organised by writer, journalist and advocate Ghulam Mustafa Memon Convener of Latifi Mehfil, Hyderabad.
He said the poetry of Taqi Rajput reflected his experience of sorrows and happiness, and added his poetry had strength and seriousness.
Noted Sindhi poet Imdad Hussaini said the nature was the teacher of a poet, and added the rendezvous of inner and outer nature made the poet.
Praising the poetry of Taqi Rajput, he said to write extraordinary stanzas was the poetry and such stanzas were always waiting for poet.
Taqi Rajput, speaking next, said he had embroidered in his poetry what he had seen and felt in life.
Latifi Mehfil convenor Ghulam Mustafa Memon welcomed the poet, and said it was being planned to get 10 acres of land for making a poets colony. Syed Sajid Rizvi, veteran poet and journalist, Parwanu Bhatti, Zeb Nizamani, Afzal Solangi, Tasleem Afshan, Raana Naheed Raana, Amin Uderai, Sarwar Nawaz Bughio, Akbar Shaiq, Momin Madhosh, Rashid Hamdam and others recited their now poetry.
