Pakistan and Mauritius have keen desire to promote closer bilateral economic co-operation, said Commerce Minister Humayun Akhtar Khan.
He stated this after holding a meeting with Mauritius Prime Minister Berenger during his three-day visit there according to a message received here on Wednesday.
During the visit he attended the first Ministerial Meeting of G-90 countries and also met his Mauritian counterpart Premdut Koonjo.
Both sides exchanged views on regional and international situation.
Humayun Akhtar conveyed greetings of Pakistani leaders and expressed Pakistan's readiness to forge closer economic co-operation with Mauritian and briefed him on Pakistan's recent economic progress.
The Commerce Minister congratulated the Mauritian government for holding the Group-90 Meeting.
Berenger expressed the hope that during his forthcoming visit to Pakistan, bilateral co-operation would be enhanced.
In his courtesy call on Mauritius President Sir Anerood Jugnauth, the Commerce Minister conveyed the greetings of the President of Pakistan. The Mauritian President asked the Minister to convey the same to the President of Pakistan.
