The Punjab government has decided to establish agriculture centres in far-off areas for providing technical assistance to the growers in the province, said Punjab Agriculture Marketing Minister Rana Mohammad Qasim Khan.
Addressing the growers in Pasrur tehsil of Sialkot district, he said these centres would provide guidance to farmers as how to enhance their yield, besides ensuring smooth supply of seeds, fertiliser, diesel and pesticides to the farmer community on subsidised rates.
The provincial government would make efforts to ensure agricultural marketing on modern lines, and eliminate the middleman role, he added.
