Labour Party with other progressive forces would launch a countrywide protest movement if the Pakistan army was sent to Iraq, under which they would organise protest meetings and block the major roads.
Farooq Tariq, Labour Party's General Secretary, said this here on Saturday. According to him, there were all indicators that General Musharraf has decided to send the Pakistan army to Iraq.
The discussions of Richard Armitage with the government and the appointment of Ashraf Qazi as especial UN envoy to Iraq were the indicators of the initial preparations of sending the Pakistani troops to Iraq.
