The Accountant General, Pakistan Revenues (AGPR) sub-office, Karachi, has asked all the pensioners of the federal government offices to contact the relevant departments/offices to get their pension increase as announced in the budget 2004-05.
In a notification issued by the AGPR sub-office, Karachi, all the pensioners of federal government offices are intimated to contact the relevant NBP branches, federal treasury officer, district accounts officers situated in Sindh, to whom PPOs/authorities have been issued from the AGPR sub-office, Karachi, to get their pension increase 16 and 8 percent, as the case may be in accordance with the Finance Division (Regulation Wing), OM No. F4(1) Reg.6/2004 dated 2.7.2004.
The increase in pension has been sanctioned by the Finance Division from July 1, 2004, and will be applicable to civil pensioners of the federal government, including civilian paid from Defence Estimates as well as from Armed Forces at 16 and 8 percent rates.
Pensioners retired prior to revised pay scale, 1994, will get 16 percent raise, while those, who retired in pay scale of 1994 and onwards will get 8 percent increase.
