Karachi milk plant to be revived

In a meeting, chaired by Sindh Chief Secretary Mohammad Aslam Sanjrani here on Wednesday it was decided to revive Karachi Milk Plant.
A committee was constituted in this respect, to be headed by Additional Chief Secretary Ghulam Sarwar Khero, which would determine the line of action for the revival of the milk plant, keeping in view the best possible options, so that it could be established on sound footing.
The Chief Secretary directed that it be kept in mind that production cost remains at minimum, maintaining high standards of hygiene.
Meanwhile, at another meeting the Chief Secretary reviewed measures for installation of lights at the underpass of FTC flyover. A sub-committee was formed in this connection with EDO Works and Services of the City District Government Karachi, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, as its head.
The sub-committee will suggest steps in a week's time after establishing contacts with the relevant departments.
At the meeting, the Managing Director of Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) presented technical points regarding the electrification of the flyover's underpass.
