At the International Conference on Information Technology - ICIT 2004 to be held on August 10, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Chairman Major General Shahzada Alam Malik (Retd) will be the chairperson of the Telecom and Networking Session.
PTA President and CEO Junaid I. Khan and Mobilink CEO Zuhair Khaliq have agreed to attend the conference as the co-chairpersons of the sesssion.
Prominent international and national speakers that include General Barnard from UAE; Ian Williams from South Africa; IT and Telecom Director Jamshed Masood, NCR Country General Manager Veqar-ul-Islam, and David Ong from Singapore, will enlighten us with the advancements being made, and research works being done in the Telecommunication and Network sector.

The ICIT - 2004 Conference being held in conjunction with ITCN Asia - 2004, has been organised by the Federal Privatisation and Investment Ministry, the Sindh government, the ECommerce Gateway, Singapore; the CommerceNet, Singapore; and Jamal's Yellow Pages of Pakistan.
The theme of the Conference is "Information Technology - Catalyst for the Growth of National Economy" to augment the present boom in the national economy in the years to follow.-PR
