I read the letter of Muhammad Shaukat, of Switzerland, published in the Business Recorder July 19, 2004, which is 100% correct. There is a lot of corruption in the Director General (Gas) Office in Islamabad, as well as in Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd Karachi.
Recently, a committee was formed by the Prime Minister to look into the affairs of the company as there is a lot of corruption both in the Sui Gas Office in Karachi, as well as the DG (Gas) Office in Islamabad.
I am also very much disappointed with the attitude of the Sui Southern Gas Co Ltd, Karachi, for not providing gas connection for small industrial unit.
I am unable to understand what is the policy of the Government of Pakistan when such a gas company is not co-operating with anybody.
This is for your kind information about the behaviour of the Sui Gas company, which did not respond to foreign investment/local investment.
