A meeting held under the chairmanship of Sindh, Chief Secretary, Mohammed Aslam Sanjrani, on Friday decided the revival of once very active and functional "Public Service Co-ordination Board."
In this regard the Planning and Development department, in co-ordination with other departments, will submit suggestions of making the Board operational to Chief Secretary within a week.
In the meeting the member (LU) Board of Revenue was directed to submit report regarding government dues against KDA at the earliest.
Regarding allotment of land for Education City in Gadap area, the EDO Revenue informed the meeting that progress in regard to Education City was achieved in a cabinet meeting held by the then government in 1999.
Referring to legal implications involved, the Additional Chief Secretary Local Government viewed that problems are being faced because of devolution of KDA and Housing and Town Planning department and this requires pursuation of some proper strategy.
Sanjrani asked the DCO to prepare Master Plan in this regard.
He directed the City District Government and Local Government department to work out a line of action with regard to problems faced in relation to KDA matters so that the organisation working under CDGK could find out solution to related problems.
Sanjrani said that Housing Sector will have to be taken above the level of EDO Revenue so that related matters are streamlined with the involvement of DCO and other concerned departments.
Regarding allotment of land within the jurisdiction of CDGK, the City Nazim suggested that Board of Revenue (BoR) should obtain prior NoC from the City Government in this regard.
The Chief Secretary directed that a summary be prepared for approval of Chief Minister on these matters.
The meeting was attended by City Nazim, Naimatullah Khan, Senior member BoR Mirza Karim Baig, ACS Local Government Mohammed Saleem Khan, Member (LU) BoR Riaz Ahmed Khan, DCO Mir Hussain Ali, Economist Planning and Development, Reehana Memon and EDO Revenue, Mohammed Waseem.
