Amid Indo-Pak composite dialogue process, heading in the positive direction, three official delegations from Pakistan would start arriving here from Monday to hold parleys with their Indian counterparts on friendly exchange, Siachen and Sir Creek.
A high-level delegation, led by Syed Jalil Abbas, Federal Secretary for Tourism and Culture, will reach here on Monday for a two-day meeting from August 3, on Promotion of Friendly Exchanges - one of the eight points in the Indo-Pak Composite Dialogue Process.
Other members of the delegation include Jalil Abbas Jilani, Director General (South Asia), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fazalur Rehman Malik, Director General, (EP) Ministry of Information and Directors Generals of Interior and Religious ministries.
Pakistani delegation will also participate in International Tourism Conference arranged by the Indian Ocean Tourism Organisation.
Indo-Pak officials will focus on enhancing people-to-people contacts by liberalising the visa regime at the two-day talks.
Other measures including easy visa access to journalists, intellectuals and tourists are also likely to figure at the deliberations. Second high-power eight-member Pakistan delegation headed by Defence Secretary, Lieutenant General Hamid Nawaz Khan (Retd) would arrive here on, August 4 to hold discussions on Siachen from August 5-6, 2004.
Another high-power delegation headed by Rear Admiral Ahsanul Haq Chaudhry, Additional Secretary Defence Division, would reach New Delhi on August 5, to hold two-day discussions on Sir Creek from August 6.
