Malaysia's export of oil palm products for July stood at 1,114,671 tonnes, up 16.6 percent from the 956,003 tonnes shipped in June, cargo surveyor Society Generale de Surveillance said on Monday.
The figure was, however, 0.5 percent lower when compared to SGS's estimate of 1,120,671 tonnes for July 2003. SGS said in a shipment estimate that the 1,114,671 tonnes for the current month included 1,000,089 tonnes of palm oil.
In the palm oil category, 115,460 tonnes was made up of RBD palm oil, 502,732 tonnes RBD palm olein, 107,900 tonnes RBD palm stearin and 139,833 tonnes of crude palm oil.
China was the biggest buyer of Malaysian oil palm products for July, taking 222,587 tonnes, followed by Pakistan, which bought 105,300 tonnes, and the United States with 82,324 tonnes.
European Union countries bought 256,494 tonnes amongst them.
