Ministry of Interior has asked the Tableeghi centres in Rai-Wind, Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Quetta, Peshawar, Sukkur, Hyderabad, and Faisalabad to inform the local police about the schedule of foreign teams in preaching the message of Islam in different parts of Pakistan to escape from any embarrassing situation.
"We have been asked to inform the police about the arrival, departure and schedule of the "Tableeghi" teams to escape from any embarrassing situation," said Maulana Muhammad Ajmal spokesman of Tableeghi centre, Multan.
He said that more than 40 teams of foreigners were engaged in preaching of message of Islam in different parts of Pakistan. They have no political ambitions or interest in the affairs of Pakistan.
Maulana Ajmal said Mandi Bahauddin police have taken three Africans Abu-Bakr, Zikiriya and Khursa in its custody for interrogation because someone rang to police that al Qaeda men took refuge in a Jamia Mosque of Munshi Mohallah, Mandi Bahauddin.
Different agencies interrogated them but they proved innocent and they were visiting Pakistan on valid travelling documents.
