Keeping in view past year's performance of the Punjab Provincial Co-operative Bank Limited (PPCBL) regarding issuance of agriculture loans, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) had a fixed a loan disbursement target of Rs 8 billion, Rs 500 million higher as compared to the figure of last fiscal year.
However, the bank had disbursed Rs 7.7 billion among farming community, exceeding the assigned target of Rs 7.5 billion, PPCBL spokesman said this here on Thursday.
The spokesman further said that SBP had appreciated the performance of PPCBL in the Agriculture Credit Commission meeting.
