Justice Mian Mohammad Ajmal of the Supreme Court is retiring on the Independence Day, and will be bid farewell by a full court here on Friday.
The farewell reference will be held at the First Bench Chamber at 9.30 am to which judges of the superior judiciary, including the Federal Shariat Court and officials of the Bar Association and Bar Council have been invited. Chief Justice Nazim Hussain Siddiqui will preside.
The departure of Justice Mian Mohammad Ajmal will reduce the strength of nation's highest judicial forum to 15 - two under the sanctioned strength of 17.
Justice Mian Mohammad Ajmal was elevated to the Supreme Court Bench from the Peshawar High Court, where had served as the chief justice.
