TAQ Logistics has once again demonstrated its sense of national commitment in the vital sector of logistics and transport. By winning the FPCCI best export performance trophy 2002-2003 in the category of freight forwarding services the company has not only maintained its leading role it has risen to the occasion by making concerted efforts to meet regional and international requirements in facilitating trade to and from Pakistan.
In line with its pioneering role TAQ continues to move ahead and bring qualitative and quantitative changes where necessary - be it training of its manpower, investment in infrastructure, introduction of new products and services or understanding customers' requirements.
Ever since the early 70s when TAQ acquired the No 1 status in the market as an IATA export freight forwarder there has been no looking back. The company has the credit of bringing the advantages of modern technology and freight forwarding concepts to the doorsteps of Pakistani exporters and importers.
TAQ has always maintained the leading edge and the early momentum of innovating its services and capabilities continues to date with the same refreshing spirit and overriding objective.
Keeping pace with the world-wide freight forwarding industry is one of the main objectives of the company. Today TAQ provides multi-modal transport services under a one-window operational concept.
TAQ has devised product specific services that are designed to fulfill discerning customers' requirements. Some of its specialised services include consolidation, deconsolidation, warehousing, door-to-door delivery, export advisory service, export and import customs clearance, overland bonded transportation and industrial project handling.
In project handling TAQ has valuable experience of successfully handling a number of projects of major national significance. Among them is the on-going PTML project which involves the supply, installation, commissioning, optimisation, testing and implementation of GSM 900 cellular Ufone network, including its allied systems throughout Pakistan.
The logistics of the project comprise international transportation of the equipment from multifarious origins round the globe, customs clearance at Karachi airport and seaport and storage at the warehouses at Karachi and Islamabad.
A related aspect of the project is the distribution of the equipment from the warehouses to different installation sites all over Pakistan. TAQ is utilising latest means of information technology for the inventory management and distribution of the equipment as per the requirements of its client.
In general, the project handling service package of TAQ includes international multi-modal transportation, customs clearance, inland transportation from port to the project site, route surveys, documentation, obtaining NOCs and other permissions from Government ministries / departments and arranging heavy lift equipment and vehicles.
At present TAQ has 15 offices of its own and about seven of its allied companies in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar and Gujranwala, having a human resource strength of over 350 trained and dedicated professionals.
The offices are equipped with adequate data processing facilities. The offices in Pakistan are complemented by a network of world-wide Associates who are fully committed to serve as long term partners in business.
In addition to adequate storage facilities at all its locations in Pakistan the company maintains its own covered CFS / warehouse right outside the seaport at Karachi.
As Pakistan's leading company in its field TAQ feels its responsibility to the society and environment it operates in.
Whether it is participation in the fight for cancer, aids prevention, human rights issues, eradication of beggary, emancipation of women or conservation of national heritage and environment TAQ chips in with its support to such causes with a sense of national duty.

The company participates in regional and national policy making as member of various committees, sub-committees and councils of various Chambers of Commerce and Industry. It is a member of Pakistan Shippers Council and Pakistan International Freight Forwarders Council of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
TAQ is frequently invited by institutions like Pakistan Institute of Management, Management Association of Pakistan, Export Promotion Bureau and others for imparting education and training to up-coming businessmen and executives involved in industry and international trade and commerce.
In recognition of its professional excellence TAQ has won innumerable awards, trophies and prizes from national and international organisations. Winning the Best Export Performance Trophy of FPCCI, the country's highest trade body, is no mean achievement by any standards.
