Justice Syed Zawwar Hussain Jaffery of Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday dismissed bail application filed by Abdul Shakoor Tabani, accountant in a local firm Messers Asif Haroon registered with Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE).
The bench however directed the trial court (Special Court for Crimes in Banking Circle) to frame the charges against the accused in two months time and to record evidence.
The bench further ordered that if complainant of the case against applicant fails in appearing before the court for recording of his evidence then the applicant might move to the court again for bail.
Earlier Justice Rasheed A Razvi (Retd) appeared for the applicant seeking bail, Sohail Jabbar Advocate, appearing as state counsel, opposed the bail plea.
The applicant was accused of attempt to encash one of the three cheques he has allegedly stolen from office of his firm and of fraudulently selling property owned by Asif Haroon.
