The Site Association of Industry (SAI) Chief, Muhammad Nisar Shekhani, KCCI President, Siraj Kassam Teli and Former SAI Chairmen Haroon Farooki have urged the Sindh Governor and Chief Minister to take a serious note of bomb blasts in the city and direct the law enforcing agencies to be more vigilant.
In a joint statement they have condemned the dastardly and brutal acts of bomb attacks on innocent people, especially the students of Madressah in the Site Area. Industrialists, as well as people from all walks of life, were shocked and pained on that inhumanly acts.
They expressed their grave concern on deteriorating law and order situation in Site area, which has worsened in the last three-four months.
Crimes are on the increase despite the fact that Site Association has been continuously drawing the attention of the authorities concerned. These recent blasts near Site Police Station on Sunday are condemnable from every point of view.
Nisar Shekhani said that it was a pre-planned attack as is evident from the clues such as multiple bombs had been planted to cause harm to maximum human beings. Loss of any life or property is tragic and should be censured at all level but to target innocent religious scholars is despicable.
He said that the Site area is a hub of economic and industrial activities where more than 2500 industries are actively engaged day and night in producing goods for local as well as international market.
Shekhani said that such incidents create apprehensions on the safety and security of the area and this is a serious retardant towards normal industrial activity, leave alone further investment.
He has called upon the concerned officials to take strict steps to restore peace in the area and provide such safeguards that will restore confidence in the industrialists and the people living / working in Site.
Nisar Shekhani, Zubair Motiwala, Haroon Farooki and Siraj Kassam Teli expressed sorrow and grief over the deaths in blasts and offered sympathy with the bereaved families. They prayed to Almighty Allah for the departed souls while wishing early recovery of the injured.
