International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Rector Justice Khalil-ur-Rehman (Retd) on Monday said that Constitution clearly declares Islamic identity of Pakistan, and it is unconstitutional to make the ideology and Islamic identity of the country controversial.

Referring to the address of the first premier of the country, Nawabzada Liaquat Ali Khan in the first constituent assembly, Justice Khalil said it is repeatedly made clear by most of the leaders of Pakistan Movement that aim of creation of Pakistan is to prove and show the world that the remedy of present day worries and wounds of humanity is Islam.
He said the IIUI, its constituent bodies, and the Dawah Academy in particular is working for the objectives of Pakistan Movement.

He appreciated the work of the Dawah Academy saying its effects are now being felt across the world, while the publications of the University are welcomed in international community of scholars and researchers.
It is an honour for the staff and employees of the University that with a very limited number of working staff, the University is doing excellent job in academics, training and research.
