20 areas identified to raise GDP: Atta

A national plan is being prepared to identify the areas aimed at increasing Grand Domestic Product (GDP) of the country using science and technology.
These remarks were made by Minister Incharge for Science and Technology (S&T) and Higher Education Commission (HEC) Chairman Dr Atta-ur-Rehman while speaking in a PTV programme.
So far about 20 areas had been identified, he said, adding those identified areas would also guide the students in their future studies to make them useful citizen of the country.
Atta said, he was working on the plan for the last six months on the directives of the Federal Cabinet. The plan would be sent to the Cabinet for approval.
