An earthquake of moderate intensity was recorded in Peshawar, Islamabad, Chitral and Lahore early Tuesday on August 10.
The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 5.5 on the international Richter Scale by the Seismological Network of Pakistan Meteorological Department.
According to the preliminary analysis of the Met station at Peshawar, the earthquake originated at 0647 hours PST, and its epicentre lay about 300 kilometre north of Peshawar near the Hindu Kush range.
