CCC passes on offers for spring wheat to Ghana

The Commodity Credit Corp (CCC) said on Wednesday it passed on offers in its tender to buy 5,000 tonnes of US spring wheat for donation to Ghana.
CCC said it made no purchase "due to program restraints" and set no date for a retender.
CCC sought US number 2 or better northern spring wheat, minimum protein 14.5 percent on a 12.0 percent moisture basis, maximum 13.5 percent moisture, minimum 300 falling number, dockage not to exceed 0.6 percent. Funding was under PL-480 Title II for distribution by ADRA and OIC.
Shipment period was September 1-10, 2004.
