NYBOT coffee futures ended mostly easier Friday as traders and players awaited Brazil's revised forecast for its coffee crop, due out after the close, traders said.
Brazil's Agriculture Ministry was to announce the revised forecast for the coffee crop at 1500 local (1900 GMT).
Benchmark September arabica settled 0.05 cent firmer at 65.60 cents a lb after trading in a narrow range of 65.10 cents to 65.90 cents. The contract low is 65 cents.
December settled 0.50 cent lower at 68.75 cents after trading between 68.30 and 68.90 cents. The rest slipped 0.05 cent to 0.15 cent.
The December contract will soon bump the September contract from its benchmark status ahead of September's first notice day on August 23.
On the charts, traders put support for September delivery at 65 and 63.70 cents with resistance at 67.80 cents.
