London cocoa futures settled lower on Friday with volume coming mainly from switch-related activity, traders said.
LIFFE December ended down 6 pounds at 946 pounds a tonne, towards the bottom of the session's 940-966 range.
Volume on the December contract stood at 2,363 lots from a total turnover of 5,828.
Some traders and analysts are still waiting for funds to start another selling spree after last week's liquidation, which ended a month-long rally.
The December contract probably needs to break the 920-pound level to kick-start another downward trend, one trader said earlier on Friday.
