Kashmiris on Sunday observed India's Independence Day as 'Black Day'. Protest rallies and processions were held across Indian occupied and Azad Jammu and Kashmir to express hatred against Indian occupation of homeland.
Black flags were hoisted everywhere while black stripes were wore on the arms and heads to mark India's Independence Day as Black Day.
Kashmiris thronged to streets to record their protest against denial of right to self-determination to Kashmiris by India. Anti India and pro freedom rallies and protest demonstrations were taken out in all the cities of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
To mark the day as Black Day, Kashmir Liberation Cell organised a big rally here on Sunday to vent hatred against India's subjugation of Jammu and Kashmir.
The leaders of political and religious parties, state ministers and representatives of traders and labour organisations addressed the rally and renewed the pledge to continue struggle for Liberation of Jammu and Kashmir and its merger with Pakistan.
The participants of the rally were carrying black flags, banners and placards inscribed with "India quit Kashmir", "Kashmir Benaga Pakistan", "Indian troops go back", "We want Freedom" while chanting anti India and pro freedom slogans.
Protestors marched to United Nation's Military Observer office where a protest memorandum was handed over for Secretary General Kofi Annan against the illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.
Protest rallies and demonstrations were also staged in Mirpur, Bagh, Palanduri, Kotli, Rawalakot, Bhimber, Hajira, Abbaspur, Hattian Bala, Neelum Valley, Nakial, Khoiratta, Samahni and Dheerkot.
Every year Kashmiris observed India's Independence Day as black day with resolve to offer every sacrifice for the liberation of occupied Kashmir from Indian subjugation and merger of whole of the state with Pakistan.
