New electric devices have been purchased to check the speed of electric meters installed by Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda).
Electric inspectors must spend maximum time in the field to solve the consumer problems, said the Provincial Minister for Power, C. Aurmughan Subhani, while presiding over a departmental meeting here on Tuesday.
Negligence of duty from any officials will not be tolerated and delinquents will be sternly punished. Hydel power production in private sector will be encouraged and rules and regulations regarding hydel power in private sector will soon be finalised.
