Fumigation of wheat stocks ordered

With a view to protecting the wheat stocks lying in godowns of food department across the province, Punjab government has directed the authorities concerned to carry out fumigation of wheat regularly and also ensure that stocks of wheat are properly covered up.
These directions were issued in a high level meeting chaired by Food Minister Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal here on Tuesday.
Addressing the meeting, the minister directed the field staff of his department to regularly check the godowns. He also directed that necessary arrangements must be made for making the coming wheat procurement campaign successful.
