Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat has said due to successful handling of anti-terrorism drive by law-enforcement agencies, some desperate elements have became active in their last ditch effort.
"Neither the agencies are facing any failure nor does the lawlessness has become a game. It is in fact, the consequence of our efforts against terrorism that these elements have become desperate, and such acts can only be committed by these elements", the minister told BBC Radio.
Faisal said: "We have recently arrested some key elements of al Qaeda which has dealt them with a severe blow, and it is natural that its after-effects will appear on the scene."
To a question, he said this is not true that every incident is a terrorist incident, adding the reasons behind the incident of attack on political workers in Attock and Sui are different.
